Red Maple is native to low wet areas of the Eastern United States. It is fairly fast growing, reaching a size of 60 feet tall by 40 feet wide. As with all maples, it is deciduous and characterized by beautiful fall foliage color.

Leaves are 2-4 inches long with three to five lobes, and shiny green until they change to brilliant red in fall. In addition to the red fall foliage, trees have red twigs, fruit, and buds. Trees are tolerant of most soil conditions but do not do well in areas with urban pollution.
